A Surf & Turf approach ensures steady progress all semester while keeping students warm, safe, and engaged. January–February: Classes will be held outdoors on the turf, where students learn swim fundamentals through fun, movement-based activities. Lessons focus on breath control, kicking, body position, coordination, and essential water-safety skills in an age-appropriate way. Beginning in March: Students will transition to in-water lessons as weather & water temperature allows, applying land-based skills to real swimming—submersion, kicking and arm movement, floating for breath, and pool safety reactions.
