“Find the funny” in this class! In this deep dive into the world of comedy and improv, students will practice the science of comedy while developing performance skills like characterization, concentration, and collaboration. Best for students with any level of theatre experience who are willing to get silly onstage.The Comedy & Improv: Kids curriculum features new content each semester, and is repeatable from year to year.
This school-year-long program includes 25 weekly class sessions. An informal sharing of student work will be held at the end of the Fall Semester on November 21, 2026. A final Spring Showcase performance will be held on the CCPA stage on Friday, April 23, 2027! Students will be required to attend dress rehearsals during the week of April 19 - 22 in order to participate in the showcase. Rehearsal times TBA.
The last day to join this class during the Fall is Saturday, October 10. There are no classes held during December.

If you withdraw after the refund window, you will be responsible for completing your payment for the entire semester.

Price includes a $25 non-refundable registration fee.
Registration prices for Coralville Parks & Recreation programs (including Young Footliters) are subsidized for City of Coralville residents. All others will see a "non-resident fee" which reflects the full cost of the program.
