Description
This class runs through the school year, beginning September 4, 2025 and ending April 23, 2026. Plans change! Choose a monthly payment plan at checkout for maximum flexibility!Take your acting skills to the next level! Students will explore advanced acting concepts like tactics, beats, and scene structure and apply these concepts to a variety of characters, scenes, and monologues. Students can make the most of this experience by memorizing material outside of class. Best for students who are familiar with acting fundamentals and who want to create believable characters onstage.
The Acting: Scenes & Monologues curriculum spans four consecutive semesters. Students are welcome to join the class at any point in the sequence.
This school-year-long program includes 26 weekly class sessions. An informal sharing of student work will be held at the end of the Fall Semester on November 13, 2025. A final Spring Showcase performance will be held on the CCPA stage on Thursday, April 23, 2026!
The last day to join for Fall semester is Thursday, October 2. After October 2, you can register to join the Spring semester, which begins on January 8.

Price includes a $25 non-refundable registration fee.
Registration prices for Coralville Parks & Recreation programs (including Young Footliters) are subsidized for City of Coralville residents. All others will see a "non-resident fee" which reflects the full cost of the program.

The final performance at CCPA will be held on April 23. A final dress rehearsal will be held April 21.
