Description
Pickleball 101 is the first course in a progressive curriculum. Pickleball 101 is designed for players who are beginners who have not played or have limited experience playing pickleball. The curriculum includes paddle grip, equipment, proper warm up and stretching, balance and court position, footwork, safety rules, basic pickleball rules and a brief evaluation of the student’s skill level by performing various eye-hand coordination drills. Students generally cannot rally the ball at this level. A brief overview of scorekeeping will be presented at the end of the course as well as some simulated play. These will be small group classes. Please wear tennis shoes.
