Description
These workshops are a two-part series intended to help dancers and movers of all disciplines and experience levels compose their own unique movement study. In the first workshop, we will explore movement dynamics and shaping. In the second workshop, you will learn how to build a movement sequence that is cohesive and powerful, whether you are a dancer, martial artist, athlete, actor, or just someone who likes to MOVE! Whether you are creating for an upcoming dance show or just like to play with movement for fun, these 2 workshops are for you. We will tackle Laban Movement Qualities and the Principles of Choreographic Composition. Most of all, we'll be creative and have fun!ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADERMishele Mennett is a longtime performer, dance teacher, choreographer, and Director of Ten Tiny Dances® Corvallis. Most recently choreographer for "The Great Gatsby," “Matilda,” “Cabaret,” “Newsies,” Pacific Tap Dance Company, and performed as half of “Ariel” in “The Tempest.”
