Join Taproot (AKA Reed) weekly June through August as kids step into the wild with Wilderschool: WilderQuest Summer Adventure! Featuring hands-on survival challenges, collaborative crafting, and immersive adventure quests, this isn’t just another outdoor class— each week is part of an unfolding expedition where kids channel their inner explorers, survivalists, and nature detectives. Working together to tackle real-world challenges, navigate the land, and uncover the secrets of a lost route, every session is a new step in an unforgettable journey! We meet every Thursday at Crystal Lake before heading out for our weekly adventure. We'll explore new natural sites throughout the Corvallis area such as EE Wilson, Peavy Arboretum, Starker Forest, and even wrapping up our adventures with a coast day! We'll practice knots and cordage, knife safety and craft, natural crafts, fire craft and safety, fishing, archery, navigation, and much more!
