Description
The Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis offers Developmental Spring Volleyball for kids in 6th grade. All participants that register on time will be placed on a team, regardless of skill. There will be no standings kept, as the focus is on team building and skill development. Teams are formed to be well balanced. Players who played in the previous Fall Volleyball League may remain on the same team. Request for a coach or team can be made, but will not be guaranteed. Practices and games are held on weeknight evenings. Teams compete in the Valley League, in which some travel is required. Base cost of the program is $175 for all on time registrations.
Parent/Program information meeting will happen on February 12th at 6:30 PM. Following the parent meeting will be a coaches meeting (7pm). Anyone interested in coaching contact Todd A Dorothy at tdorothy@bgccorvallis.org.
IMPORTANT:
There will be a skills evaluation night February 26th (6th-8th graders) at the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis. Players will be evaluated on their skill level so we can appropriately place them on a team. These evaluations are geared towards new registration players (those who did not play in our Fall League) but we highly recommend returning players join and use this night as a refresher before practices begin.
Below is the schedule:
6th - 8th Grade: Thursday, February 26th from 6:30-7:30pm.
For the 2026 Spring Season- 6th grade division game nights will be primarily on Wednesday evenings and will play double headers. Teams will also play by 7th grade rules to better prepare players for the Fall. This means a higher net and further serving line.
