About This Activity

Club SciKidz’s Little Chemist is a STEM.org accredited program that introduces the Scientific Method through high-sensory chemistry experiments. Designed for the youngest learners, the curriculum focuses on observation, sequencing, and the properties of matter. Core Learning Objectives: States of Matter & Concoctions: Campers create "Funny Putty," "Magic Bubble Paint," and "Elephant’s Toothpaste," exploring how liquids transform into solids and gases through safe chemical reactions. Food Science & Edible Chemistry: Students discover that science is everywhere—even in their snacks! Activities include Making Your Own Chewing Gum and investigating the "cleaning power" of taco sauce on pennies. Analytical Chemistry (Chromatography): Using candy and coffee filters, little scientists learn to separate colors and identify hidden components in everyday items. Lab Safety & Tool Mastery: Campers learn to "think like a scientist," mastering the use of pipettes, measuring cups, and magnifying glasses while following essential safety protocols. Quick Facts for Busy Families 20+ Projects: A fast-paced curriculum featuring nearly two dozen hands-on experiments across the week. STEM.org Accredited: Vetted for academic quality and alignment with early childhood National Science Standards. Take-Home Experiments: Campers frequently bring home their "concoctions," extending the learning to your kitchen table. Flexible Hours: Full-day (9 AM – 4 PM) and Half-day (9 AM – 1 PM) options are available, with Pre-Camp and Post-Camp care to fit any schedule. Ignite Their Curiosity Little Chemist is a perennial favorite that sells out early due to its high-sensory "wow" factor. Secure your child’s spot in the lab and watch them become a confident creator.
