Club SciKidz’s K-Pop Demon Hunters STEAM Academy is an accredited program that seamlessly blends the Arts with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Campers embark on a week-long narrative mission, mastering new "hero abilities" through technical challenges and creative performance. Core Learning Objectives: Chemical Potions & Reactions: Campers step into the lab to explore the science of chemistry. By mixing specific compounds, they create "demon-fighting" potions, learning about exothermic reactions, pH balance, and states of matter. Electrical Engineering (The Concert Stick): A staple of K-Pop culture, the "Light Stick" becomes an engineering project. Students use circuitry and LED technology to build their own custom, light-up props, mastering the basics of electrical flow and conductors. Acoustics & Rhythm Science: Campers discover the physics of sound. They explore how frequency and amplitude create the beats they love and apply this knowledge to choreographing their own original hero routines. Creative Design Thinking: From designing team logos and signature moves to engineering concert props, campers use the "Design Thinking Process" to solve challenges, fostering teamwork and collaborative problem-solving. Quick Facts for Busy Families The Final Mission: The week culminates in an epic collaborative adventure where campers combine their gadgets, chemistry knowledge, and choreography to complete their "Hero Training." STEM.org Accredited: While the theme is high-energy fun, the curriculum is built on rigorous national science standards. Take-Home Hero Gear: Campers build and keep several projects, including their custom light-up sticks and scientific "potion" journals. Full-Day Schedule: Standard hours are typically 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with Pre-Camp (8:00 AM) and Post-Camp (until 5:30 PM) options available at most locations.
