Covington Parks & RecreationSpring Soccer League – 1st/2nd Grade Girls DivisionOur Spring Soccer League gives young players a fun introduction to soccer while building character, confidence, and community spirit! Players will learn the basics—dribbling, passing, and shooting—with an emphasis on sportsmanship and teamwork.________________________________________

Practices
Teams practice once per week starting the last week of February. Practice day, time, and length are set by your volunteer coach. Practices take place at local Covington schools and parks.You may request preferred practice days, friends, or coaches during registration—requests are not guaranteed, but we do our best to accommodate.________________________________________

TeamSidelineCovington Parks and Recreation uses TeamSideline to manage all league information and communication. Each team will have a Team Site that includes roster, game details, and a communication portal. Volunteer Coaches NeededOur program grows with our volunteers! Registration DetailsDeadline: February 3After Feb 3, registration is first-come, first-served. If full, you’ll be added to a waitlist—spots are limited, so sign up early!Early Bird Discount:Register Dec 2 – Jan 13 to save $10.Regular pricing begins Jan 14, and registration closes Feb 3.

EquipmentEach player receives a team jersey.Players must bring:• Sneakers• Shin guards (with socks covering them) - Coaches will have practice balls for team use.

Your coach will contact you mid February after the coaches meeting. You will receive the 'Welcome to the League' email around the same time with all your team site information. Game and practice schedules will be available after the coaches meeting. Please make sure to attend the first practice. Your coach will have a parent meeting to discuss what they need help with throughout the season.
