About This Activity
Campers in Beginner camp will learn all fundamentals including catching the horse, tacking, untacking, grooming, and proper basic care of horse and tack. During the week, campers will watch farrier and veterinarian visits and learn about stable management. Campers have riding lessons in the morning, bring a sack lunch, do a horse-related craft after lunch or watch an instructional video in our air-conditioned lounge, and then lightly ride again or play games on horseback in the afternoon. Friday is a "show" day where all parents are invited to come watch what the kids have learned! Camps are 9am-4pm and $475 unless otherwise stated. Non-refundable $150 deposit is required to hold your spot, and the remaining balance is required upon arriving at camp. 48 hour notification required to cancel a reservation. Cancellations after this time has passed are non-refundable. Camps are very popular, fill up early each year, and are first come, first serve so be sure to reserve your spot early!
