About This Activity

This class blends science and art, encouraging curiosity about nature and animals while developing srong artistic foundations. Students will explore the beauty of the natural world through careful observation and watercolor painting. Using leaves, flowers, shells, creatures and other natural objects as inspiration, students will learn how to sketch from life and translate details into expressive watercolor paintings. Students will experiment with watercolor techniques such as layering, color mixing, and texture, while building skills in observation, patience, and creative expression. Perfect for students who love the outdoors, enjoy paitning, or want to sharpen their drawing and watercolor skills whil creating beautiful, nature-inspired artwork! Instructor: Atalie Fite
