About This Activity
8 weeks, 1 hour per week This class is designed for the student who loves to perform! The class will cover the basics of musical theatre-style jazz and tap dance, teaching skills needed to succeed in musical theatre auditions and performances. Musical Theatre Dance 3 is the recommended class for CAPAA Musical Theatre students to take over the summer. Class placement for musical theatre is by age, so class is appropriate for beginner and returning students. Students who take traditional ballet, tap and jazz during the school year are also encouraged to take Musical Theatre Dance as a fun, supplemental class. Dress is dance or exercise clothes in which you can move freely. Jazz and tap shoes are needed.
