Description
SIGN UP FOR AGES 7-8The CCPR Summer Youth Basketball League is a youth inhouse basketball league for male and females aged 5-12. All age divisions are coed. The primary mission of this league is to promote the game of basketball to youth and practice positive sportsmanship between teams. This is a developmental league that will stress on the fundamentals of basketball and getting ready for more competitive play in the future. CCPR does not honor requests for specific coaches, teams, and/or moving up/down age divisions.
Registration includes a game jersey and game shorts. VHSL referees will officiate all games for the U8 age group. Players for this age group must be ages 7-8 by July 1, 2026.
Practices for the U8 age group will take place on Tuesday evenings at the Culpeper County Fieldhouse. Games will take place on Saturdays. **Practice nights subject to change if age groups need to be consolidated**
Season Dates:Player assessments (Gymnasium) & Parent Meeting (Classrooms): Tuesday, June 23 6:00p-6:30p (Draft will take place directly after with coaches)Practices begin Tuesday, June 30, 2026.First games will be on Saturday, July 18, 2026.Games will continue weekly on Saturdays through August 22, 2026.
**NO PRACTICES/GAMES ON JULY 4 AND JULY 25, 2026**
CCPR will provide jerseys and shorts to all participants. All participants must wear tennis shoes while playing.
