The Fierce Flyers are back!!! The CCPR Cheer Performance Program is designed for those both with and without cheer experience and will aim to build upon and expand the fundamentals skills and interests in the principles of competition/showcase cheerleading.About the team: This program includes learning two-minute competition/showcase routines that incorporates tumbling, jumping, stunting, and dancing along with competition/showcase music. The primary mission of this developmental program is to promote the expression of competition/showcase cheerleading to school aged participants and practice positive sportsmanship, teamwork, communication, and many technical cheerleading skills.
All practices will take place at the Culpeper County Sports Complex (September-October) and the Culpeper County Fieldhouse Aerobics Studio (November-January) on Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:45pm-6:45pm.
Cheerleaders will POSSIBLY perform at the following Culpeper County community events and Parks & Recreation special events:
- Moonlight Halloween Candy Hunt: Friday, October 23, 2026 Time TBD.
- Culpeper Christmas Parade: Time & Date TBD.
- End of season performance: Time and Date: TBD
Registration Includes:
- Full uniform: shell, skirt, and bow.
Specific Goals of the Team:
- Build upon and further expand the foundation and skill set of competition/performance-style cheerleading.
- Learn to properly display acts of sportsmanship, teamwork, communication, confidence, and leadership while building upon prior knowledge and skill set of cheerleading.
- Learn different components of cheerleading: basic-intermediate tumbling, jumping, and stunting skills.
- Gain the confidence to pursue other cheerleading opportunities in the future.
Important Dates:
- Parent/Athlete Meeting is Wednesday, September 9th at 5:45pm.
- Uniform fitting will take place immediately following the parent/athlete meeting.
- Practices are Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:45pm-6:45pm starting Monday, September 14th.
- No practice on the following dates: Thursday, November 26, Thursday, December 24, Thursday, December 31.
Please wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle. Pom poms will be provided.
