About This Activity
Description
Ages: 8 - 12/This is an introductory class to learn a little bit about the recorder, navigating around the fingerings and breathwork.By the end of the session participants will be able to:
-Play a pentatonic scale (first 5 notes)-Play a simple song-Identify their first 5 notes on the staff-Understand breathing and sound on a wind instrument
The cost of this class includes your instrument, bag and cleaning rod, that is yours to keep after the instruction is over.
Feel free to add you or your child's name to the waiting list, should a class spot become available. There are often last minute openings or we may consider opening another class to make accommodations.
*Funding made possible in part, by the Culpeperpalooza annual fundraising event and the Vince Vala Fund for Local Music. Registration fee covers music, instructor fees and maintenance costs.
