This painting is a favorite among artists for its dramatic use of reflections and cosmic imagery. There's something captivating about capturing the reflection of a planet over a watery horizon.
In this class, students will explore the basics of painting planets, waterfronts, and how to blend the two into a striking, reflective scene. While everyone in the class will use the same step-by-step process of layering and colors for the backdrop, the details of each painting will be unique.
All supplies are provided and include practice sessions and a completed 11 x 14 canvas to take home to dry. Class begins indoors and proceeds to the outdoors for the paint process. Please dress appropriately and bring vinyl gloves if you'd like to protect your hands from paint.
