About This Activity
Description
Join CCHS alumni cheerleaders, Coach Katelynn and Coach Laralie for the Flipping Fridays beginner tumbling and stunting classes. These classes are a once-a-week youth cheer-tumble and stunting program for cheerleaders looking to master level one cheer tumbling and stunting skills. These tumbling classes will take place each Friday (February 20th-April 17th, 2026) from 5:00pm-6:30pmHow do I know if my child needs to be in the beginner or intermediate tumbling & stunting class?
***Cheerleaders must be able to perform AT LEAST ONE of the following skills independently (without a spot or assistance) to be considered level two (and should move up to the intermediate class):
- A standing backbend (and be able to kick over)
- A standing back walkover
- A standing front walkover

***The beginner clinic will work independently with each cheerleader on the following skills (depending on which skills the cheerleader needs to work on):
Level One Tumbling Skills:
- Forward rolls
- Handstands
- Cartwheels and roundoffs
- Cartwheels and roundoff series (connecting multiple cartwheels and roundoffs together in a standing/running tumbling pass)
- Bridges and backbends
- Backbend kickovers
- Running tumbling skills (connecting cartwheels, roundoffs, and kickovers together in a combination pass).
Level One Stunting Skills:
- Knee stunts
- Thigh stands
- Shoulder sits
- Level one two-man stunts
- Waist-level stunts
Please wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes. Bring a water bottle.
