About This Activity
NOTE: Students must have prior approval from the instructor to register for this level. Please register to the waitlist. Students will be moved into the class once approved (USCF Chess Tournament experience and Intermediate Chess required). Students who have not yet participated in the OCYL program should attend the NOVICE class and will move to the next level based on instructor assessment. The Advanced class is designed to introduce students to organized competitive chess and more advanced strategies of the game. The emphasis is on learning how to play in a sanctioned tournament, leagues & clubs. Taught by Bob Salvas and Eduardo Paguaga, members of the United States Chess Federation, official USCF Tournament Directors and chess instructors for over 20 years each.
