MSBS 102 – E-Bike On-Street Riding builds on foundational skills from MSBS 101 or the Smart Cycling online course and takes riders into real-world traffic situations on electric bikes. This two-hour, on-bike-only class begins with a brief introduction followed by focused parking lot drills to practice e-bike handling, smooth acceleration, controlled braking, and quick stops at speeds up to 20 MPH. Riders will refine balance, signaling, lane positioning, and hazard avoidance while adapting to the added weight and power of an e-bike. The majority of the session is spent on a guided on-road ride that includes busier streets with bike lanes, giving participants the opportunity to apply their skills in a more dynamic environment. League Cycling Instructors (LCIs) lead the ride with support staff serving as sweep to ensure safety and group cohesion. Designed to build confidence, awareness, and control, this course helps riders feel comfortable navigating everyday traffic conditions on an e-bike.
