About This Activity
The Student Nurse Summer Camp is an immersive, hands-on educational experience designed to introduce high school students to the nursing profession. Hosted by the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing, the camp provides exposure to foundational nursing skills, clinical simulations, health assessment techniques, and interactive learning with nursing faculty and students. Participants gain insight into nursing career pathways, academic preparation, and the impact nurses have across healthcare settings, with the goal of increasing access, confidence, and interest in pursuing nursing as a profession.
