About This Activity
Who this is for: Current third graders and fourth graders who are looking to strengthen foundational skills in reading comprehension, handwriting, sentence/story writing, and math content. The small group setting with a maximum of 5 students helps students improve work endurance, task initiation/engagement, and self-advocacy skills. Lesson plans are tailored for each individual student and frequent progress monitoring is used. Instruction includes, but is not limited the following: -Application of English rules to reading and spelling -Cursive -Visualization strategies for improved listening and reading comprehension -Application of punctuation and capitalization rules while writing and editing sentences. -Story writing -Mental math strategies -Math content including, but not limited to: ---Place value ---Decimals ---Fractions ---Word problems -**content is tailored to student’s specific level** Material fees are included in the total cost.
