About This Activity
Description
Blast off into discovery with Earth and Space Explorers! In this hands-on STEM adventure, students become geoscientists and space engineers as they build, test, and redesign models of the solar system, outer space and beyond. From creating layered Earth models and earthquake simulations to constructing scaled solar systems and exploring gravity and orbits, every session is packed with exciting, interactive challenges. Students take on real-world missions like designing a Mars habitat, building a rover prototype, engineering rockets and astronaut boots, and creating their own planets! Along the way, they build a strong foundation in NGSS- and CAST-aligned STEM concepts, deepening scientific understanding and fostering lasting confidence. Perfect for curious minds, this program blends creativity, engineering, and science into an unforgettable project-based learning experience. This class is part of WonderWorks Lab’s 3-year NGSS-aligned STEM curriculum, designed to build mastery across elementary school science and engineering through exciting and interactive experiences. Our program helps students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving and hands-on skills, and develop an early interest in science and engineering—preparing them for future STEM success!A $60 supply fee is required and should be paid directly to the instructor on the first day of class.Location
