About This Activity
This class reinforces the vocabulary, tools and materials of hand bookbinding. We will learn how to bind a soft covered, long stitched book. A multi-gathering book that can be used as a journal, to collect favorite recipes or poems, and more. All materials for the class are provided. There is a $10 materials fee payable to the instructor the night of class. Joelle Webber has spent over forty years collecting book arts techniques. At Mermaid Bindery, four pillars define Joelle's career. Binding books and boxes for clients, illustrating her original artist book sculptures, her Crafts in the Woods honor system shed, and designing workshops for many different communities of makers.
