About This Activity
For this 8 week class, we will learn basic clay handbuilding techniques, and build on our skills each week. The goal of this class will vary by person, age, and experience level. Beginner ceramicists might make multiple small projects throughout the program, but more experienced artists might choose to make a large piece that they work on the entire available time frame. By the end of the class, every child should have basic skills such as how to join clay and make and use pinch pots. Though we will have new skills demos each week, the main goal is to have fun, experiment, and make sure nothing explodes in the kiln! Class price includes a $25 of materials fee. Please note there will be no classes on January 19 and February 16.
