Kitchen Explorers: Continuing Adventures This class is designed for students in 3rd-6th grade who have taken cooking classes with us before. As with other classes, each lesson will focus on an item of produce or technique each week. At this level, the students will work with the instructor to choose the recipes we will learn this trimester and build on skills we learned in the fall. Topics covered will include knife skills, kitchen and food safety and cleanliness, measurement, and how to read a recipe. We will focus a little more on baking this trimester as well. Students will work together in groups on the recipes, adding their own flare and twists when possible. Recipes will be vegetarian, though meat might be an option occasionally. Class price includes $20 of materials fee
