Bake up something sweet or savory every day in this camp. We will use fruits and vegetables from our school gardens in our baked goods while we learn about how baking powder makes our muffins fluffy, why how you add the butter to pie crust is important, how gluten makes our breads chewy and more. Topics covered will include knife skills, kitchen and food safety and cleanliness, measurement, how to read a recipe, and kid-friendly cooking techniques. All recipes prepared will be vegetarian or have a vegetarian option. Vegan is possible with advanced notice
