READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BELOW BEFORE REGISTERING! <<< This classroom course prepares current providers for the American Heart Association (AHA) to become an AHA Instructor. Pre-approval is required; contact Barry Schwalbe at schwalbe@richland.edu for details and verification. Prerequisites for Class: 1. AHA Instructor Candidate Application submitted and approved. 2. Current AHA provider card in either Heartsaver or BLS. 3. Certificate from AHA Instructor Essentials course (online). 4. AHA Instructor Kit for Heartsaver or BLS.* *If you already have access to an instructor kit (for example, your organization already has one), you do not have to purchase another one. Note: Once the classroom is completed, you have six (6) months to have your initial class monitored. If you are not monitored within six months, you will need to retake the classroom portion and new fees would apply.
