About This Activity
Description
The training includes instructions on how to provide chest compressions without breaths to adults, children, and infants who are in cardiac arrest. Participants will learn to assess the situation, position of the victim, compression technique, and depth/rate of compressions. You can choose to just focus on one age level or all three. An AED is a portable device that can analyze an individual’s heart rhythm and delivers a shock if necessary to help restore a normal heartbeat. Participants will learn step-by-step instructions on how to turn on the device, attach the electrode pads, and administer the shock if necessary.Location
