The Collage Lab (Grades 6-8) Instructor: Shirley Lee Week 1 6-10 July AM (9AM - 12PM) Collage Lab is a hands-on, experimental art camp for children who enjoy exploring materials and thinking creatively. Campers will investigate collage as both a technique and a way of thinking—cutting, layering, gluing, and assembling found materials to create original collage projects. Through guided projects, campers will learn foundational art concepts such as composition, texture, colour, and visual storytelling. The focus is on experimentation rather than creating a “perfect” artwork. Collage Lab fosters confidence and independence in a supportive, process-oriented environment. Campers are encouraged to take creative risks while building fine motor skills and visual literacy. No prior art experience is necessary—just an interest in making, experimenting, and discovering new ways to create.
