About This Activity
Let’s get persuasive! This is a great opportunity to enhance researching skills while learning the art of argumentative and persuasive writing and debating. In small groups, we'll choose topics, conduct research collaboratively, share findings, and engage in discussions about the value of multiple sources. Participants will also learn to evaluate sources for authenticity and accuracy. The program culminates in short debates (3 minutes max for each team member) within small teams. This serves as a solid introduction to essential skills for MYP and IB writing, emphasizing the importance of good research practices, internet safety, and savvy.
