Writer’s Workshop/ Reading Club/ Story Writing Club (Grades 1-3) Instructor: Valerane Hanis Week 2 6-10 July Full Day (9AM - 4PM) Writer’s Workshop/Reading Club/Story Writing Club leads children through the adventures of reading, writing and creating. Campers will read stories and learn about narrative story writing. Each day they will engage in designing and creating a story of their own (with setting, characters, problem, solution) consisting of a beginning, a middle, and an end. Through games, stories, and creative play, campers will explore the excitement of reading and the adventures books can open up to them. Campers even make their own book as an author and illustrator! At the end of the week they will have their own book to take home and enjoy with family and friends, and new friends and memories to enrich their summer experience.
