This recreational team/league emphasizes teamwork, skill development, sportsmanship and camaraderie in a fun environment. Teams participate in regional leagues, followed by a tiered citywide tournament based on league results. Teams practice twice per week Dec. 8-20 and Jan. 5-10. No practices will be held Dec. 22 - Jan. 3. Teams have one practice and one game per week Jan. 12 - Feb. 21. February 23-28 will be a practice only / make-up game week. A single-elimination postseason tournament will be played March 2-14. Practice days are determined by recreation centers. Games will be played on Thursdays, typically between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, at varying locations. Additional tournament games may be played on Saturdays, March 7 & 14. Game schedules will be available at www.denveryouthsports.org.Holiday Conflicts: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Presidents' Day typically occur during the Winter season. No practices or games will be scheduled for the weeks containing Christmas and New Year's. Practices scheduled for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Presidents' Day may be rescheduled at the coach/recreation center's discretion.
Teams will be assigned based on the number of participants. If the minimum number of participants is not met players will be placed on a team at the next closest recreation center in their region.
