Learn how to safely set up a rappel system and lower yourself down a rockface. This program will include learning to transfer rappel systems at anchors while on the wall. The group will hike 1 mile to our big-wall outdoor climbing site at Hobb's Peak Mountain Park for opportunity to practice these skills. Intermediate level is meant to indicate that a higher level of information will be shared and/or higher level skills will be practiced; previous experience/knowledge in the activity is recommended. Equipment, instruction, and transportation provided.CANCELLATIONS: If Outdoor Recreation cancels the trip due to inclement weather, lack of participants, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the participants will receive a full REFUND.
REFUNDS: 15 DAYS IN ADVANCE: If a participant cancels the registration 15 days in advance, a full REFUND will be given. LESS THAN 15 DAYS IN ADVANCE: If a participant cancels registration less than 15 days in advance, NO CREDIT OR REFUND will be given.
APPEAL: If a participant experiences a serious illness or loss that prevents their attendance that requires special consideration, an appeal can be submitted to the Coordinator of Outdoor Recreation for review.
