Take your climbing to the next level with our Learn to Lead Climb program! Participants will learn the fundamentals of lead climbing and lead belaying in a supportive environment while remaining on a top rope for a safe “mock lead” experience. Climbers will practice clipping techniques, rope management, communication, and proper belay skills under instructor guidance. Previous top rope belay experience is required, and belay skills will be assessed at the start of the program. All equipment, instruction, and transportation are included.
CANCELLATIONS: If Outdoor Recreation cancels the trip due to inclement weather, lack of participants, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the participants will receive a full REFUND.
REFUNDS: 15 DAYS IN ADVANCE: If a participant cancels the registration 15 days in advance, a full REFUND will be given. LESS THAN 15 DAYS IN ADVANCE: If a participant cancels registration less than 15 days in advance, NO CREDIT OR REFUND will be given.
APPEAL: If a participant experiences a serious illness or loss that prevents their attendance that requires special consideration, an appeal can be submitted to the Coordinator of Outdoor Recreation for review.
