Description
This is a weekday ski and snowboard program that provides Denver youth (ages 7-17) an opportunity to develop snow-sport skills through group lessons at Winter Park Resort. Participants will receive lessons from Winter Park Ski and Ride School instructors for the day, teaching them how to ski or snowboard. The fee includes lift tickets, equipment rental, lessons, transportation, snowpants, goggles and gloves. This program is reserved for youth who are BEGINNERS OR FIRST-TIME SKIERS/SNOWBOARDERS - it is NOT open to youth with experience. Youth may only participate in 3 LSR programs/year with a maximum of 10 total. Youth will participate in a lesson and ski/board on beginner terrain only - no exceptions. Per CDC guidance, face coverings are required in all buses and vans.
CANCELLATIONS: If Outdoor Recreation cancels the trip due to inclement weather, lack of participants, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the participants will receive a full REFUND.
REFUNDS: 15 DAYS IN ADVANCE: If a participant cancels the registration 15 days in advance, a full REFUND will be given. LESS THAN 15 DAYS IN ADVANCE: If a participant cancels registration less than 15 days in advance, NO CREDIT OR REFUND will be given. APPEAL: If a participant experiences a serious illness or loss that prevents their attendance that requires special consideration, an appeal can be submitted to the Coordinator of Outdoor Recreation for review.
