Prince George Parks and Recreation is launching a new initiative to provide specialized skill-building classes in basketball for the Exceptional Education Community in a welcoming, stress-free, and non-competitive environment.This program aims to create inclusive opportunities for participation in sports, fostering physical activity, social interaction, and skill development in a supportive and adapted setting. The classes are designed with modifications to accommodate various needs to provide fun, engaging activities that are tailored to their needs, with focus on positive reinforcement, ensuring that all participants can engage comfortably and successfully. This program is supported by dedicated volunteers with experience in the Exceptional Education Community, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and confidence-building learning experience for every participant.
The Basketball Skill Building Stations will include a dribble path. wall passing, spot shooting, coordination corner, partner passing, and a calm court station.
This Clinic will be held 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM, every other Thursday from January 15, 2026 - March 26, 2026 at Central Wellness Center Basketball Gym. Registration will occur December 8, 2025 - January 2, 2026.
A responsible adult is required to stay with the participant during the duration of the activity.
