About This Activity
We will be using hand-building techniques to create a candlestick with clay! We will start with a base, a stem, and a cup to hold the base of a candle. Then, we will personalize our pieces by attaching decorative elements (coils, balls, sculpted pieces, etc), then paint with underglaze to add our own colorful patterns! The creations will be fired and clear-glazed for you and available for pickup 2-3 weeks after the workshop! No previous with clay is required, but this class is open to people of all skill levels. These pieces can be as simple or elaborate as you would like. The basic skills will be taught, but everyone will enjoy a creative morning in the studio, no matter where your skills are!
