About This Activity
*Due to varying school release times, drop-off is flexible starting at 4:00 PM. Students will have free creative time until the full class begins. Please arrive no later than 4:30.* Step up to the wheel and get spinning! In Wheel Throwing for Kids, young artists ages 10 and older will learn the fundamentals of working on the pottery wheel—from centering and pulling clay to shaping and trimming their own unique pieces. Students will create a variety of forms like cups, bowls, and small plates, while also exploring glazing and finishing techniques to bring their work to life. This class emphasizes hands-on learning, patience, and creative confidence in a fun and supportive studio setting. No experience needed—just a willingness to get messy and try something new!
