Throughout this immersive 10-day experience, students will: 🕵️ Analyze & Explore – Read, listen to, and break down classic and modern horror stories to understand what makes them truly haunting. ✍️ Brainstorm & Outline – Develop original story ideas and learn how to structure an engaging five-part narrative. 🖋 Write & Revise – Draft, refine, and enhance their horror stories using techniques like "Show, Don’t Tell," dialogue development, suspense-building, and strong characterization. 👀 Edit & Share – Engage in peer and self-editing, receive individualized feedback, and complete a final polished draft. 🎭 Showcase & Celebrate – Present their completed horror stories in an end-of-camp story-sharing event! By the end of the course, students will have written their very own horror story, developed essential storytelling skills, and gained a deeper appreciation for creative writing.
