About This Activity
Taught by Nick Zarcone, Fallon Middle School teacher with DUSD! Whether you’re an experienced player or just starting out, this course is designed for you. Participants will build and strengthen their basketball fundamentals while enjoying a fun and engaging environment. Each day begins with foundational station work, where players receive individualized attention to support their development. Athletes will learn proper offensive skills such as shooting, dribbling, and passing, along with key defensive techniques including stance, footwork, positioning, and rebounding. The course also introduces both offensive and defensive set plays to deepen game understanding. As the program progresses, players will be grouped by skill level to compete in enjoyable, competitive games, leading up to the crowning of a champion. Throughout the experience, emphasis is placed on teamwork, character, and maintaining a positive attitude.
