10 sessions x 1 hour Thursday - Mar 19, 26 | April 2, 16, 23, 30 | May 7, 14, 21, 28 Art Adventures engages children in exciting, guided art projects where they explore the creative worlds of comic books, zines, flip books, and character design. Students develop technical drawing and spatial skills while being encouraged to explore their own imaginative artistic choices. Young artists practice painting and drawing through techniques such as mark-making, taping, splashing, sketching, and representational drawing. Sensory-inclined students can smear, brush, and experiment to express ideas in fun, expressive ways. While Art Adventures is playful and engaging, it also builds critical thinking, problem-solving, and early mathematical concepts through “artist decisions.” Children gain creativity, confidence, and self-expression while producing art that is uniquely their own. Parents receive finished projects and in-class photos celebrating each child’s artistic journey. A $25 materials fee is inlcuded in Tuition.
