We’re excited to introduce our Minecraft Game Design & Coding Camp, where kids learn to code while building and playing in Minecraft! In this hands-on program, students use Minecraft Education Edition along with simple block-based coding (drag-and-drop) to create structures, solve challenges, and design their own mini games. ✨ What kids will learn: Basics of coding (step-by-step instructions, loops, and logic) Game design and creative building Problem-solving and critical thinking Collaboration and teamwork What makes this class special: Kids learn coding in a fun, familiar environment No prior coding experience needed Project-based learning with their own creations Encourages creativity, confidence, and curiosity Prerequisites: Minecraft Education requires a specialized program (IDE) and an individual license, which must be installed on each student’s device. Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop with Minecraft Education Edition installed, allowing them to continue learning and practicing after the camp ends. Students bringing their own laptops must install the Minecraft license individually prior to the first day of class (no additional fee). Laptops can be provided if needed; however, a $36 tech fee (in addition to the camp fee) will apply to cover the one-year Minecraft license. By the end of the camp, students will have built their own Minecraft world or game and will understand the fundamentals of coding in a fun and engaging way. From playing Minecraft → to creating with Minecraft!
