About This Activity
Dublin Partners in Education (DPIE) and Pacific Chess Academy invite students in Grades 1–5 to participate in the Spring Chess Tournament on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, from 12:00–3:00 PM in the MPR at the Dublin Library Students will be placed into groups based on their grade level. If your student has a USCF rating, please register them in the USCF Rated section rather than the grade-level group. Players in the Rated Section (members of the U.S. Chess Federation) will have their games and updated ratings published on the Federation website. Under the guidance of Pacific Chess Academy, students will enjoy a fun, competitive day applying their chess skills through a series of 30-minute games. Awards: Every participant will receive a trophy, with additional recognition for top players. Event Schedule: 12-12:15pm : Check In 12:15-2:45pm : Chess Games 2:45pm : Award Ceremony 3:00pm : Event Ends Important Note: The room will be at capacity. Parents may not remain during the event and should return at 2:45pm for Awards or 3pm student pickup.
