About This Activity
This course is for the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and tuba. The Band Bridging Foundations class is perfect for 7th-12th grade students who have no music experience or want an accelerated introduction to a new orchestra instrument. It is also for 5th-6th grade students who have completed at least 1 year of elementary band. We will quickly go through the basics of each instrument and continue to build a strong music foundation and on the student's embouchure, finger dexterity, and music reading skills. Students need to provide their own instrument. By the end of the course, the students will understand how to play scales and exercises in Concert Bb Major, F Major, and Eb Major.
