About This Activity
Daily Classes - Monday to Friday Taught by DUSD Teacher Mr. Jasper Tran This course is for the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and tuba. Students will play along to popular movie tunes while developing foundational skills. It is for 5th-6th grade students who have completed at least 1 year of elementary band. It is also perfect for 7th-12th grade students who have no experience and want an accelerated introduction to a new orchestra instrument. We will quickly go through the basics of each instrument and continue to build a strong music foundation and on the student's embouchure, finger dexterity, and music reading skills. Students need to provide their own instrument. By the end of the course, the students will understand how to play scales and exercises in Concert Bb Major, F Major, and Eb Major.
