10 sessions x 90 mins Thursday - Dec 4, 11 | Jan 8, 15, 22, 29 | Feb 5, 12, 19, 26 Calling all young innovators, coders, and future engineers! Get ready for an exciting adventure into the world of Micro:bit, where creativity meets technology and ideas come to life through code. Creative Computing with Micro:bit is a fun, project-based program where students explore coding, electronics, and invention by building real working devices. Using a pocket-sized programmable computer with LEDs, buttons, and built-in sensors, students learn how one can use code to control lights, sensors, sound and motion. Through guided challenges and hands-on builds, kids move beyond screen-based coding to design, test, and improve projects they can actually hold. Instead of just learning how programs work, they create their own games, wearables, alarms, and smart gadgets. Our Adventure Map Week 1 – Introduction to Micro:bit & LED Displays Learn how a microcontroller works while creating LED animations, icons, and scrolling message displays. Week 2 – Inputs & Controls Use buttons and events to trigger actions and build simple interactive programs and reaction challenges. Week 3 – Interactive Game Design Use variables and logical thinking to design and code interactive games. Week 4 – Sound & Music Programming Incorporate buzzers and speakers to design alarms, sound effects, and simple musical compositions. Week 5 – Environmental Sensors Explore light and temperature sensors to create smart devices that sense and respond to their surroundings. Week 6 – Motion Sensing & Data Tracking Explore movement detection by building step counters, tilt-controlled games, and activity trackers. Week 7 – Circuits & Physical Computing Connect LEDs, motors, and buzzers to integrate code with real-world electronic components. Week 8 – Practical Device Design Create useful everyday tools such as timers, reminders, and wearable safety lights. A $30 materials fee is included in the tuition fee.
