Grade Level: 10 - 12 Length: June 9 – July 17, 2026 Final Exam: June 26 (Semester 1) July 17, 2026 (Semester 2) NO SCHOOL June 19 & July 3 Essential Skills: Mastery of Algebra 2 or Advanced Algebra 2 Graduation: Fulfills one year of math graduation requirement College Prep: Fulfills CSU/UC math requirement with “C” or better Students will study advanced functions and trigonometry, including polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, rates of change in functions, vectors, matrices, and an introduction to limits. Students need to have a strong understanding of Algebra 2 to be successful in Precalculus. Students who select this course will not be eligible to also take the AP Precalculus course for credit. Note: Students should expect 1 – 4 hours of homework and at home study per day in the DPIE program where each day is equivalent to one week of instruction in the regular school year. Please complete the Non-District Course Intent form when you enroll in this class to let DUSD know of your intent to accelerate in the 2026-27 school year. However, if you're taking the class for enrichment only, the form is not required.
