Students build robots and bring them to life with code within stories they help create. Grades 2-3 build and code an arctic expedition vehicle, a spinning Ferris wheel, a city bus, a soccer game that scores a winning goal, and a rocket ready for launch. Grades 4-5 join an ocean adventure. They program a sailboat, a lighthouse, a crab, a beach buggy and a tidal power station, and take on real challenges like cleaning up marine debris. What they learn: block coding step by step, starting with sequences and loops, then events, if/then decisions, and sensors that let robots react. Grades 4-5 advance to variables and a first look at Python. Creativity in every class: students invent their own story twists, change how their robot behaves, and debug until it works. Quick builds leave more time for coding. Smaller groups and tablets per group help each student get hands-on experience and work at their own level, supported by instructors trained in the Synapse curriculum.
