About This Activity
Does your child love building, exploring, and discovering how things work? In Real World Robotics, students will build, program, and bring robots to life while developing engineering, coding, and problem-solving skills in a fun, supportive environment. No previous robotics experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn. Each week features a new robotic model and engineering challenge, giving students the opportunity to strengthen their coding, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. Designed specifically to provide every participant with the best possible experience, classes are intentionally kept small-group setting while following simple verbal instructions with minimal support. Program Highlights • 6-week hands-on robotics program • Ages 8–15 on the autism spectrum • No prior robotics or coding experience required • Build, program, and test interactive robots • Learn Scratch-based coding, engineering, and problem-solving • Develop teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills • Inclusive, small-group learning environment • Designed for participants with independent self-help skills • 1:6 staff-to-participant ratio with minimal supervision required Program Dates • Mondays: September 14, 21, 28 & October 5, 12, 19 Special thanks to Snapology for making this exciting program possible.
